Recent High School Graduates
If you have graduated from high school within the last year and are beginning classes at Boise State as a new student, BroncoVenture Orientation for first year students is in your future this summer. If you have AP, IB, or dual enrollment credit, this program is for you too. Simultaneous BroncoVenture Family Orientations are offered for your parents and family members. Additional BroncoVenture Extended trips are available so you can get the most from your orientation.
Transfer Students
Are you transferring from another institution and attending classes at Boise State for the first time? You will attend BroncoVenture Transfer & Non-Traditional Orientation this summer to prepare for your new life as a Bronco! BroncoVenture Family Orientations are offered for your parents and family members.
Non-Traditional Students
Attending classes for the first time as a non-traditional student who may be age 21+ with prior life or work experience? BroncoVenture Transfer & Non-Traditional Orientation is your next step to success this summer! BroncoVenture Family Orientations are offered for your family members, parents, and guests.
International Students
Are you an international student and attending classes at Boise State for the first time? Your 2-day BroncoVenture International Orientation is where your Boise State experience begins.
Satellite Campus/Virtual Campus Students
If you will be attending all of your classes at a location other than the Boise State main campus, you will not attend a BroncoVenture Orientation on the main campus. Contact your individual program or campus to learn about your orientation experience. Campus locations include but are not limited to: Micron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, College of Southern Idaho and Gowen Field campuses, all-online programs through the College of Education or College of Health Science, and eCampus. Unable to Attend In-Person? Apply for BroncoVenture Long Distance Orientation
If you fit into one or more of the categories listed below, you may qualify for a Long Distance BroncoVenture Orientation. This program is for students who will attend courses on Boise State’s main campus next semester, but who cannot attend any on-campus orientation date offerings due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Live more than 300 miles from Boise, Idaho
- Active military service which would prevent you from attending all on-campus program dates
- Distance employment (e.g. forest fire fighting)
- Travel or service abroad in other countries for the full summer
